Championship number two of the weekend. I know cross country is probably one of the least spectator exciting sports (even curling is more exciting), but being a runner I really enjoyed this. These athletes are amazing. Men’s race was crazy. Bekele from Ethiopia actually got his shoe knocked off at the beginning of the race.. stopped.. put it back on and then went on to win the race. Yeah, I can tell you aren’t that impressed, but I was.
Speaking of shoes, there were a few runners from Africa who actually chose to run barefoot. Got some pictures to prove it.
