Can’t think of a more random trip..... I’ve never been to a track cycling event and have never been to Manchester. So booked a flight Friday afternoon and flew down Saturday morning.
Wow! is all I can say. These guys (and girls) are amazing. The races were intense. On some of the sprints they were hitting 43 mph! The Great Britain team almost broke the British record in the team 3000m pursuit during the prelim and the final. Couldn’t stick around for the Sunday events, but on Saturday I did get to see the finals of the Time Trial, Individual and Team Sprints, Points Race, and Individual and Team Pursuit.
