Amsterdam Weekend Trip

Headed down to Amsterdam for a weekend to explore the city with my friend Megan Humphreys who was on a layover from a business trip. Cassandra came with me and we hit up the town. I love living in Aberdeen because there are cheap direct flights to some great European cities. Last minute direct roundtrip to Amsterdam only cost me $170 USD.

I was actually surprised how much there was to see in Amsterdam. The city is pretty amazing. Unique architecture, history, and culture. Visited the major sights including The Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, Heineken brewery, Canal Tour, The Pancake Bakery, and of course the Red light District.

People will tell you there are a lot of bikes in Amsterdam. I thought I knew what they meant. I was wrong. There are bikes everywhere. More people are biking then walking. The best thing we saw was a guy lounging on the back of a bike with his girlfriend pedaling him around. Classic!
