Another year, and another Corporate Cup National Relay. Essentially it is a track and field meet against all the major corporations in the country. This is my 6th time participating (yeah, I am getting old). This year is was held in San Diego.... top notch location. Figured I would also take some random vacations after the meet since I was already out in the States.
OK, as far as the Track Meet went, we got second overall. First time in 15 years. (our team has never won). I guess Exxon can dominate the world of big business and oil, but it can’t put together a winning track and field team! HA! Anyway, the event was a lot of fun and the after party got crazy like it does every year.
So for the random part after the track meet I decided to hang out for a week with no real plan. Lucky for me there were three other people who had the same idea so we all got together to explore San Diego for a few days. Then I headed up to LA to visit some relative. Then off to Colorado to visit my friend Carolyn for some rock climbing, mountain biking, salsa dancing, and scorpions.
